Terms of Service

Effective September 27, 2026. The terms that apply when you use our website, donate, or receive messages from us.

Acceptance of these terms

By using htffsp.org or donate.htffsp.org, making a donation, or opting in to our messages, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

About us

The Harriet Tubman Foundation for Safe Passage ("HTFFSP," "we," "us") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, EIN 82-4154435, located at 1107 Tacoma Ave S, Tacoma, WA 98402.

Donations

Donations are voluntary gifts to support our charitable mission. Online donations are processed in U.S. dollars by Stripe or PayPal. By donating, you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method provided. All donations are used at HTFFSP's discretion to further our mission unless a specific restriction is agreed to in writing.

Monthly (recurring) donations

If you choose a monthly gift, you authorize us to charge your payment method each month on or near the date of your first gift until you cancel. You can change or cancel a monthly donation at any time by emailing [email protected] or calling (253) 212-2264. Requests received at least 3 business days before the next charge date take effect before that charge.

Refund policy

Because donations are charitable gifts, they are generally non-refundable. However, if you were charged in error — for example, an incorrect amount, a duplicate charge, or an unintended gift — contact us within 30 days of the charge at [email protected] or (253) 212-2264. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days. If a refund is issued, any tax receipt for that gift is void.

Tax deductibility

HTFFSP is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. A receipt is emailed for each online gift. No goods or services are provided in exchange for donations unless stated otherwise. Please consult your tax advisor about your situation.
