In partnership with Re-establishing Hope, Safe Passage connects people returning from incarceration with employment, housing, and one-on-one support.

Re-entry support

A comprehensive transition program

Thousands of adults are currently incarcerated in state prisons, many of whom will eventually return to our communities. With nearly half of these individuals being parents, the ripple effects of their reintegration are deeply felt by families and neighborhoods alike.

Our re-entry program empowers justice-involved individuals in Washington to successfully reintegrate into society, combining grassroots efforts with evidence-based practices and partnering with local organizations to tailor support to each participant.

$200 million reinvested in communities

The Community Reinvestment Plan, authored by Dr. Jesse Miller and the Harriet Tubman Foundation for Safe Passage, dedicates $200 million over two years to communities disproportionately impacted by the war on drugs.
